Barcelona Striker Linked with Chelsea

Barcelona Striker Linked with Chelsea

With the Champions League knockout stages set to commence this month, there has been a lot of column inches generated relating to our opponents in the last-16 stage, Chelsea.

After two bad defeats, Bournemouth (h) and Watford (a), in the Premier League there have been mutterings that their Italian head-coach, Antonio Conte, could be axed.

Yesterday, the West London based club denied that would be the case stating it would be a churlish decision to make when the club are still involved in the Champions League and the FA Cup and sit in fourth place in the Premier League.

But, despite that insinuation, it appears that if the Italian were to be axed than somebody we know very well, Luis Enrique, is the Chelsea hierarchy`s choice as his replacement.

Furthermore, according to the French news source, Le10Sport, Enrique has already stipulated who he`d like the London club to make as their first signing.

According to our quoted source, Enrique wants Chelsea to purchase our striker, Luis Suarez.

Now whether the Uruguayan, now 31-years-of-age, fancies a return to the Premier League, which he graced whilst on the books of Liverpool, remains to be seen.

But, personally, I`d be very surprised if Suarez, on the evidence of his form this season, was allowed to leave the Camp Nou for Stamford Bridge, in the summer transfer window.
