Barcelona Seal Deal for Liverpool's Coutinho

Late last night the news broke that Barcelona has successfully negotiated the transfer of Philippe Coutinho.
After several failed attempts, back in the summer to bring the 25-year-old Brazilian to the Camp Nou with Liverpool resisting three huge offers, it seems that the English Premier League club have accepted that resistance is futile and have agreed a fee, said to be of the magnitude of, £142 million for the attacking midfielder.
In sealing the deal, Coutinho becomes the third most expensive player in the history of our game, slotting in below Neymar (£200 million) and Kylian Mbappe (£165.7 million).
The media are suggesting that, under the terms of the deal, Barcelona will pay a fee of £105 million up-front with the additional monies being paid in what are termed realistic add-ons.
The Brazilian will sign a five-and-a-half year deal with the release clause set at a huge £355 million, or €400 million.
Liverpool, it has to be said, have made a more than tidy profit on a player who cost them just £8.5 million when they signed him from Inter Milan back in January 2013.
We wait for official details of when Philippe Coutinho will be unveiled at the Camp Nou as the latest and most expensive addition to the Barcelona squad.
