Barcelona 2 Celta Viga 2

Barcelona 2 Celta Viga 2

The Camp Nou witnessed an entertaining game in the La Liga lunch-time kick-off today, which ended all-square.

Although Barcelona maintained their unbeaten start to the season, could the two points dropped today have ramifications when it comes to the destination of the La Liga title?

At the Camp Nou, it was Celta Viga that took the lead in this encounter when a nice exchange of passes between Iago Aspas and Maxi Gomez saw the latter unleash a shot that Marc-Andre ter Stegen did well to parry only for Iago Aspas to net the rebound.

Thankfully, Barcelona weren`t behind for long, with the home side responding almost immediately to level the game up, the goal coming when Lionel Messi was on hand to finish off a cross from Paulinho. The goal was the Argentine`s 17th of the season.

All square at half-time, Barcelona were to edge ahead in the second-half when Luis Suarez was on hand to finish off a fine cross from Jordi Alba.

But, all credit to Celta Viga who weren`t over-awed by the goal and levelled up some eight minutes alter when a cut-back from Iago Aspas was expertly finished by Maxi Gomes.

Barcelona, at the sound of the final whistle, were left to rue an effort from Lionel Messi that hit a post and a goal scored by Luis Suarez that was, very harshly, ruled out for offside.
