Coutinho - Time Is Running Out for Barcelona

Coutinho - Time Is Running Out for Barcelona

There are less than two weeks before the summer transfer window closes.

Less than two weeks for Barcelona to seal a deal for the Liverpool player Philippe Coutinho.

Despite all attempts to seal a deal, it would appear that Barcelona are as far away as ever from persuading Liverpool to sell.

Today, the media gives further guidance as to why the deal is proving so hard to tie up.

Lurking in the local media, up in Liverpool, the Liverpool Echo, carries a brief synopsis of why Barcelona are struggling to get this deal over the line.

According to our source, the Barcelona sporting director, Robert Fernandez, admits that a deal will be difficult to force through, for the 25-year-old, as his current contract, unlike those of most Barcelona players, doesn`t have a 'buy-out` clause in it.

However, as we suspected would always be the case, another source, the Telegraph, is running with the belief that Barcelona will fight to sign the Brazilian international right up until the transfer window slams shut and are, at this moment in time, ready to submit a new offer.

As has been the case all summer, we`ll continue to keep a watchful eye out for any further developments and, invariably, report back.

You've changed your tune LOL. At one point you were talking about meetings between Barca senior management and Liverpool, then about medicals being arranged, then a further offer that was going to be accepted, then that the player was on strike. Do you think it might finally have sunk in that you are not going to sign Coutinho. In fact the club would rather send him to Everton rather than Barca because of the seedy manner in which you have behaved.
