Barcelona Target Submits Transfer Request

Barcelona Target Submits Transfer Request

Barcelona`s quest to spend some of the cash received for Neymar on Liverpool`s Philippe Coutinho, continues to attract the media attention.

With Liverpool having turned down a bid, said to be of the magnitude of €100 million for the 25-year-old Brazilian, a huge sum of money, it looks as if the player himself may now be trying to force the issue.

According to reports in the media, and as covered by the BBC, Coutinho has submitted a transfer request.

The requests, according to our referenced source, was submitted via e-mail.

However, it appears that the request was rejected by Liverpool with their mantra of the player not being for sale still appearing to be very prominent.

The rejection was described by Liverpool as being a "definitive stance" and that "no offers will be considered."

It remains to be seen what Barcelona`s next step will be as they seek to sign a player who, according to the Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, is injured and will miss Liverpool`s first fixture of the new EPL season, away to Watford.

Here at Vital Barcelona we`ll keep a watchful eye out for any further developments.
