Is Dembele Barca`s Main Transfer Target?

Is Dembele Barca`s Main Transfer Target?

Several news outlets are inferring that Barcelona are set to ramp up their interest in bringing Ousmane Dembele to the Camp Nou.

Indeed, one source, Football-espana, has picked up on an article in the French publication L`Equipe that infers Barcelona are set to go all out to bring the Borussia Dortmund young star to the club.

Barcelona`s interest appears to have been ramped up after a combination of the good displays the player has been producing since joining Borussia Dortmund and also after the Barca defender Samuel Umtiti and Barca`s new ambassador, Eric Abidial, both raved about the youngsters ability.

However, any talk of a deal being done imminently has been downplayed by Dembele`s agent,

Moussa Sisoka, who has politely informed the media,

"Ousmane is on holiday.

"I can`t comment on all the information that appears about his future.

"It`s true that there are several important clubs in Europe interested in him and that`s one way to recognise his good performance levels."

Last season Ousmane scored 10 goals and provided 21 assists in 49 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, fine statistics from someone who is just 20-years-of-age.

Borussia Dortmund paid just £15 million for the player last summer, I`m guessing if Barcelona are serious about bringing the player to the Camp Nou, the transfer fee will have risen dramatically.
