The Daily Verratti (19/06/17)

The Daily Verratti (19/06/17)

We`re at that stage of the close season where transfer talk is plentiful but actual deals are slow in being done.

We all know that the scenario will change rapidly once players come back from being on holiday and the closure of the transfer window approaches.

Last week, in a couple of articles, we covered how Barcelona were keen to sign the Italian midfielder, Marco Verratti.

Our articles covered the fact that Barcelona were keen to land the 24-year-old quickly, thereby preventing Juventus from enticing him back to Serie A.

We also mentioned how his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, were not willing to sell him but that Verratti had informed them he wanted to purse his career elsewhere.

Well, as we head into another week, we`re hoping this piece of transfer tittle-tattle could be concluded.

But, if we were hoping to bring you any conclusive proof that was going to be the case then it won`t be forthcoming today.

All we can find amongst the media today (Monday), is the inference from Gazzatta dello Sport that Verratti wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Barcelona.

Perhaps tomorrow will be the day that the move takes a giant step forward.
