Dembele Speculation Update (15/06/17)

Dembele Speculation Update (15/06/17)

With just the Copa del Rey placed in the trophy room this season, compared to the La Liga and Champions League trophies our fierce rivals Real Madrid won, Barcelona will be looking to bolster their squad this summer.

One player that, according to the media, is interesting the club is the young Borussia Dortmund star Ousmane Dembele.

Dembele`s rise to prominence continued on Tuesday night when, in a friendly international fixture against England he scored the winner for France.

But it seems, according to the Daily Mail that the 20-year-old has had dealings with Barcelona before.

Our source, referring to something that appeared in the Spanish news source Mundo Deportivo, has admitted that he was in talks with Barcelona last summer, with Dembele reported as remarking,

"'Last year I had contact with the Barcelona sports director."

But, with regards to the speculation linking the player with a move to the Camp Nou, things don`t look to promising for the Barcelona faithful, with Dembele adding,

I'm good at Dortmund. I have a contract until 2021. I don't pay attention to what is said."

Some fine words of loyalty there, but will the situation change?
