Barcelona task practically impossible says Neymar

Barcelona task practically impossible says Neymar

Neymar will not give up on trying to turn around the result at Parc des Princes on Tuesday night.

Goals from Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler and Edinson Cavani have fired Paris Saint-Germain into a 4-0 lead after the first leg of the UEFA Champions League tie.

The result has been labelled as embarrassing for Barcelona, with the finger of blame being pointed in all directions.

However Neymar was quick to praise PSG, a club he was reportedly close to joining once upon a time.

'It was an unusual game that hardly ever happens to us, but Paris deserve credit. They had a great game, they finished well and got to our goal well,' Neymar was quoted by Four Four Two magazine.

Neymar insists he, and presumably the rest of the squad, will fight to turn things around but did concede that the task was practically impossible.

'Now we have to think about the next game, to see what we can do to try to turn it around, which is very difficult - practically impossible. But we cannot give up.

'It's very difficult to prepare for such a game. I do not think I've ever been in this situation.

'What I'm going to do is give my all in the next game so we can turn it around.'
